Captivated

My foot has found its foundation
I stand firmly
Shaky places
Narrow places
Dark places
It matters not
For I am not alone
Where He goes, I will go.
Without question
Without hesitation
May He only whisper a word
And I am there.
For my heart has been touched by the very hand of love.
I simply cannot contain the passion that has filled my soul
Consumed
Overwhelmed
Refashioned
Am I
By the hand that formed the stars.
What love is this that looked upon me and called me Beloved
I am captivated by such compassion
And
Forever ruined for anything else.
The world may compete for my attention
In hopes to win my affection
But its pursuits are in vain
Simply for naught
It has nothing to offer
There is only one pursuit in my sights
Tis, the lover of my soul
For it is He that first pursued me
With an unfailing love and passion
That none could compare
It is He that I want
It is He that I seek
That I may dwell in the place of His presence
All the days of my life.

In reflection of David's Psalm 27, today may we stand firm in the goodness and pure love that God has for us. May we position ourselves in the place of His presence that we may not waver from our place of resolute passion, faith and belief in the overflowing fullness, yes, overflowing, that comes from the place of relationship with the Father. He loves us with a love that is never-ending, never-failing and completely incomparable. Let that reality lovingly embrace your heart today.
One thing I ask from the LORD,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.
-Psalm 27:4-5
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
-Psalm 27:13-14
